Organization of cabinets safe for children

If your kid has a passion for opening cabinets, place items on the lower shelves that you don't mind giving away to tear to pieces :) - old discs, scarves, unbreakable kitchen utensils.

While the child is considering this wealth, you will have a free moment. Such a "lure" can be arranged in every room.

Save cereals from insects or moisture

Bay leaves put in a jar of cereals will protect from insects.

It is helpful to put a branch of bay leaves under the bed against insects or moisture.

Protect laundry from moths

Sprigs of lavender or lavender sachet in the closet

will protect your laundry from moths

Invasion of ants. What to do?

If your home has been attacked by ants, place baking soda or cinnamon in the corners of the doors / windows.

It will protect you!

Organizing kitchen shelf

Use special racks for pans and pots so you can use the entire space of the drawer and you do not have to go through the utensils before each cooking.

Effective kitchen cabinet space

Use the height!

There are never too many shelves - by purchasing several additional hanging mesh baskets in chrome color, you will forever solve the problem of storing dishes.

Shining microwave oven

Add 3 tablespoons of baking soda to 300 ml of water.

Try to dissolve the baking soda in water as much as possible.
Put the solution for 10 minutes into the microwave at maximum power.
Then wait another 5 minutes, open the lid and wipe the softened fat with a cloth.

Remove traces of adhesive

OIL will help you against traces of adhesive from a label or adhesive tape on the glass surface.

The surface must be dry. Take any oil (sunflower, olive ...) and rub it with a napkin / rag. It will dissolve the glue.

All that remains is to rinse the oil off the surface.

SMART FLOOR CLEANING with a mop
The mop should be comfortable! For this, you need to choose the right height

The handle of the mop should reach the armpit.

Thanks to this, during the cleaning process, the hostess will less strain her back and will get tired less.

In addition, this height of the mop will allow you to wash the floor in the most inaccessible places in the apartment.

Long-lasting cleanliness and shine for your windows

Add 1 tablespoon of dishwashing liquid and 1-1,5 tablespoons of 70% vinegar to 5-6 liters of water.

Clean the windows as you usually do.

This cleaning solution will help to clean dirt, dust, and water stains from the windows easily and keep them bright and shiny for weeks!

Cleaning Tips

for household care

More clean and more flexible laundry

By putting 2-5 tennis balls in the drum of your washing machine, you reduce the detergent doses by about 20%, the weight of the balls also helps to soften the laundry, and it comes out cleaner than usual.

When you're washing anything down-filled, such as a down jacket, comforter or bed pillows, adding a few tennis balls will help fluff them up.

To avoid unpleasant surprises, we advise you (for the first two uses at least) to use the tennis balls with dark clothes. You never know, the ball can sometimes rub off on light clothes.

Toilet plume

According to a study by microbiologists, each time the water is drained, an aerosol column rises above the toilet. It can reach up to 2 meters. It consists of water, air and particles.

The particles of this toilet plume fly up to 4 meters. They settle on towels, toothbrushes,… etc.

The solution is simple - flush only with the toilet lid closed!

How to cope with a Fitted sheet

The basic idea is to fold all the corners into one.

Then spread out on a large surface as square as possible, and then there is room for imagination - fold it as far as you want.

Easy cleaning tip for wooden cutting board

Take some salt and a half of a lemon.

Sprinkle the salt all over your cutting board and then take a half a lemon, squeeze some juice onto the board and really get in there with that lemon. Give it a good scrub with a lemon half!

Once you are done, give it a rinse, dry it off with a towel and then lean your board upright to dry.

Easy blender cleaning

As soon as you finish using your blender fill it with

2-3 cups of water a squirt of dish soap and

plop it back onto the base to blend away the mess.

Dump it out, give it a good rinse and then just lay it flat to dry.

Good smell in the fridge

For those who love natural :)  lemon, baking soda, rice

Just cut the LEMON into pieces and place them on different shelves of the fridge. It is necessary to change this miracle fruit weekly.

Baking SODA can be diluted in water or scattered in small containers. It absorbs the smell quickly enough, so it should be systematically changed.

Put RICE in a plastic container with small holes. As it stands in the refrigerator, it absorbs the smell.

Sanitize your phone

The icky truth: Your phone might harbor more germs than a toilet seat.

Zap germs with an alcohol wipe, and give your TV remote and computer mouse the same treatment while you're at it.

vinegar cleaner

Remove sticker stains with Vinegar

If your children have been liberal with their sticker book and applied them to walls, doors, furniture or basically anywhere you don't want them, you'll know that peeling them off can leave a sticky mark.

To tackle this, dab them repeatedly with VINEGAR and leave it to soak for 15 minutes. Then come back with a sponge and scrub the mark off.
(first check the vinegar for compatibility with the surface: drip in an inconspicuous place, if a stain appears, choose a different cleaning method.)

Remove Pet Hair with rubber gloves

When your standard vacuum cleaner doesn’t seem to get all your pet’s hair off (from the sofa/chair/carpet), rubber gloves will get the job done.

Just slide them on and rub down any areas that need extra cleaning. When rubber is pushed against fabric, it can generate elasticity to gather remaining pet hair.

Use squeegee to remove hair from your carpet

If you have a house full of children and pets, you know the struggle of trying to remove hair from carpets, blankets, and upholstered furniture. Sometimes vacuuming just doesn’t cut it, but this cleaning tip will.

Use your trusted bathroom squeegee to scrape over your carpets or rugs to lift up embedded hairs and dust that get pushed down by the vacuum cleaner.

Because of the shape, squeegees are also great at removing dirt or dust from the corners of your room.

Remove finger marks from stainless steel

Whether it’s the sink, a splashback or the kettle, finger marks are annoying and don’t always disappear with a wipe.

Put a dab of baby oil or rinse aid on a clean cloth and rub the whole surface to watch them vanish.

Clean space is not just hygiene and nice look!

Cleanliness brings Balance!

Enjoy the results!

Refresh and desinfect

The microwave oven is a multifunctional appliance.

With it, you can refresh sponges and plastic cutting boards, getting rid of unpleasant odors and germs.

It only takes a minute to warm them up at a high temperature.

Long life for your sponge

To keep your dishwashing sponge dry and clean for as long as possible, pinch it with a paper clip after use.

All the excess of water will go away.

This way your sponge will serve you for more than a month.

Energy saving Tip

Did you know that if your electric kettle has a layer of limescale inside, it may require up to 30% More Electricity for boiling the water?!

Timely descaling will solve this problem and help you to save energy.

Surprising kitchen sink. Did you know this?

That is what can be hidden "behind the scene" ...

Not all dirt/bacteria is obvious, unfortunately. A lot stays unnoticable for the eye of the user. It is all about health that is our main treasure!

Clean and Polish Tarnished Silver

To get rid of tarnish on silver use baking soda, water, and aluminum foil
Boil four cups of water with one tablespoon of baking soda and a hand-sized piece of aluminum foil.

Toss in your silver items and let them boil for about 10 seconds. You may let your silver boil a little longer if it’s heavily tarnished. Remove your items with kitchen tongs, rinse them, and lay them on a towel to dry.

Once your silver is dry, buff it to a brilliant shine with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.

Have Your Kids Clean Your Mattress! =)

Jumping on the bed can help freshen up your mattress.

Mary Findley of Go Clean suggests a fun house cleaning hack:

Have your kids bounce around on the bed to bring up dust from inside.

Then vacuum the mattress top.

After that ask your kids to repeat the trick on the other side of the mattress!

Tip for Long-term dust protection!

Dust accumulates quickly during spring and summer time: windows and doors are open , dust and pollen fly inside the house and sit on the furniture right after you cleaned it!

Tired of wiping the dust from furniture every day?

Use Furniture polish! It has special anti static particles in it and prevents dust from settling!

Tip for keeping your oven clean

Cleaning the oven can be quite tough and dirty work if you do it once in a few months.
But actually there is a way how to maintain it, so your deep cleaning won’t be that hard!

Each time after taking out your meal from hot oven, turn it off and put a bowl of boiling water together with a tablespoon of dishwashing soap inside it. Leave the mixture there until the oven cools down.
Then wipe the  walls and the glass of the oven with this soapy water- you will see that keeping your oven clean will be much easier this way!

zipbag for order, kids room

Tip for an organized kids' room

The main problem usually is not dirt, but TOYS!
And the fact, that there is a box for them, or even two, doesn’t make life easier: because the toys are MIXED EVERYWHERE.

Imagine how difficult it is for your little one to find all the particles of his or her favorite game? So the child has to dump all the boxes! And that’s when the chaos starts!

Next time, when you open a new table game, puzzle, Lego, or any other game with multiple details, prepare a ZIP BAG for this game! When each game has its own bag it is much easier to keep all this in order!

Caring Tip for spotless upholstery

What to use for fresh spots and stains on sofas, upholstery and fabrics?

BABY WIPES are surprisingly effective because they contain very little moisture, have gentle cleaning agents, and dry quickly.

(always check first on a small unnoticeable area)

How to clean a TV screen easy and safely?

1) turn off the TV and remove dust with Swiffer duster or dry microfibre cloth.
2) take another soft cloth with a drop of water (distilled water is the best for that), wipe the fingerprints and dry immediately with a dry microfiber cloth.

- Avoid using pre-treated dusting cloths. They have oily finishes that are great for picking up dust on wood furniture but that can leave streaks on a TV screen.
- Never spray anything on the screen directly
- With your microfiber cloth or duster, go over buttons and the back of the TV to nab dust in the vents, or use your vacuum’s soft dusting brush and low suction to remove dust from any vents, ports and cable connections.

Washing machine filter requires care

Easy cleaning of kitchen cabinets

We all know that no one likes to do a deep-clean in kitchen cabinets and drawers. Especially when there are crumbs and stains stuck to the bottom of the cabinet, marks from food and spices that we keep there and use regularly.

There is an easy solution how to do a cleaning there with minimum efforts!

Next time after cleaning the kitchen cabinet, put a film, foil, baking paper or placemat on the bottom of the cabinet as a protector. This way if something spills, you don’t need to wash and scrub the entire cabinet,
just change the protection layer!

Reduce calc in your shower!

Most of the households in Switzerland struggle with hard water: especially large amount of calc is on the shower glass and its metal parts. Sometimes it appears even after showering just once! And you have to deep-clean your shower nearly every couple of days…

Did you know that there is an easy way to prevent this?

Typically hot water has more calcium in it, while cold water is more clear. So after showering just rinse your shower glass, metal parts and tiles with cold water to remove the calc left by hot water!
And then use the squeegee for the glass.

You will see that it will be easier to keep your shower free from calc!

How to keep fruits and veggies fresh for longer time ?

A special antibacterial fridge mat will help!

The cellular structure of the material prevents the appearance of dampness, the formation of rot and mold, and does not allow dangerous bacteria to multiply in containers for fruits and vegetables.  It absorbs excess water and condensation, providing the level of humidity necessary for food storage.

Thanks to better air circulation between products and the exclusion of direct contact with the surfaces of the refrigerator, it helps maintain the freshness of vegetables and fruits for a longer period.

Parallel and Perpendicular Magic

Follow a great rule and always line up items parallel and perpendicular to the edges of the furniture (magazines, books, remote controls).

Somehow, the mathematical straightness of the lines soothes the eye and suddenly the items left out look curated and deliberate. And a viewer feels calm =) For example, a magazine, a book, and a cell phone scattered on the table can be quickly tidied by stacking them with the largest item on the bottom (magazine), followed by the book, and topped with the phone; line that pile up with the edge of the table.
